Engagement shoot : Horsham

Julia & Peter’s engagement shoot took place on one of the warmest days of the year so far. The weather was picture perfect; bright azure skies and not a cloud in sight, but, me oh my, it was HOT. We had originally planned to shoot at the beach, but at the last minute, opted for a stroll amongst some shady, tree-lined paths in the Sussex countryside instead. And did we all feel revoltingly smug quite pleased when we saw images of a jam-packed, boiling hot Brighton beach on the news later that evening? Oh yes, my friends, we certainly did.

Julia & Peter are a really lovely couple, and their pre-wedding shoot was a complete joy from start to finish. They are so happy and relaxed in each other’s company, and they make each other laugh a LOT.

Here are a few of our favourite moments from a truly lovely afternoon:

Julia & Peter’s flower-filled wedding will take place at the seriously gorgeous Laughton Barns later this year. We can’t wait to see them again, and to be a part of their big day…

  • Sean Fitzpatrick - Oh my goodness, the light in those photographs is just perfect! How did you manage to make a searingly hot day look so gentle, romantic and relaxed. Amazing photography.ReplyCancel

  • Toria - These images are breathtaking! The couple look really happy, natural and relaxed, and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. I love the heart shaped leaf, too- what a brilliant touch for an engagement shoot. Your work is just so, so lovely…ReplyCancel

  • Helen Turner - GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!! The way you work with light is so inspiring. Your photographs always look as if you haven’t given the people in them any direction at all (although I know that you must have, to get them looking so perfect). I think creating this natural, storytelling feel is the most important skill a wedding photographer can have, and I always love looking at your shoots. Thank you for sharing!ReplyCancel

  • Zoe Wright - Aaawwww, what a beautiful photo shoot. You’ve captured their love and laughter so beautifully xReplyCancel
